Cheryl shares how important it is to keep in touch with both clients and suppliers during this challenging time and how planning ahead can lead to some exciting and creative events for the future!

Many of us are adapting to the new normal of remote working. Zoom has quickly become our ‘go-to’ tool to ensure we keep in touch with both our colleagues and our lovely clients. But we do miss seeing everyone face-to-face and we very much look forward to getting together again very soon!

In the meantime, it’s business as usual (well, as normal as it can be) for us here at FCCE. We’re touching base with our clients regularly, looking ahead to future events. Despite not having a confirmed date when venues will re-open, that doesn’t stop us planning (and with a bit of extra time on our hands, it lets us get even more creative!)

By keeping in touch with our clients, we’re able to understand their business objectives and work with them to determine the viability of future events. So many venues have come amazing virtual tours, that we can still walk our clients through an event concept – albeit virtually. We’re still able to chat with our suppliers and come up with creative concepts for our clients. Check out some of our latest #RossGoss on our LinkedIn page for some of our favourite virtual tours.

The events industry has taken a big hit with the current social-distancing restrictions in place. But as a passionate industry, we’re here to support one another. That’s why it’s so important to us to keep the lines of communication open with our suppliers and let them know of future planned events so we can all band together and ensure the events industry continues to thrive.

With that in mind, are you planning anything post-lockdown? Do you need a team building event to bring your colleagues back together again? Will you look to hold a company conference to realign your business and its objectives? We’ve been taking many bookings for Christmas parties. Let’s face it, we’re all going to need a big celebration at the end of the year when hopefully we’re through the worst of it. Even now, it’s never too soon to start talking all things festive and many venues are already getting booked up, so it’s worth considering jumping on the sleigh and helping us secure you a space!

Remember, just because we’re working remotely and we can’t see each other face-to-face, we will eventually be reunited. And when this time comes, ensure you and your team are ready.

Here at FCCE, we can’t wait to bring the work family back together and get back out there to see our amazing clients!
