The operations team are always out and about seeing venues to be able to best advise our clients on which spaces would work well for their events. We search high and low for the best of the best ranging from conference centres and hotels, to castles, sporting stadiums, warehouses, boats, forts and everything in-between! Since May the team have seen a total of 161 venues which for a team of 12 we do think is very impressive! However, it’s all well and good us increasing our venue knowledge but we want to share our recent favourites with you! Therefore Jas has been quizzing some of the team to find out their top venue picks –

Ross – The Slate, Warwick Conferences

Why have you chosen this venue?

The Slate at Warwick Conferences features a single, completely flat 650sqm of flexible open event space – it’s fantastic. There are no pillars or fixtures to get in the way and the structure can take two 4×4 cars so the room is really flexible and with a capacity of up to 400 delegates and views of the lake, this venue is really one to keep in mind. The Slate also provides a blank canvas and you can add the colour dependant on your event and branding! For clients who also require accommodation there are up to 358 adjoining bedrooms around the campus to suit all budgets and styles – it’s ideal!

Laura – Bellmond Northern Belle

Why have you chosen this venue?

The Bellmond Northern Belle is a really unique option for a group private dinner, you can hire the train for one of its regular excursions or they can arrange an exclusive journey for your specific requirements. You can also hire a single carriage for a regular excursion or the whole train if preferred, something really special for an executive group away day! It holds 260 passengers in tables of two or four, across 7 carriages. The train wowed Cheryl and myself and can even be personalised to even have your company’s brand displayed aboard the train and at the check in lounge as well as customised menus featuring your company’s logo and a special welcome message.

Dan – Radisson Blu East Midlands Airport

Why have you chosen this venue?

The Radisson Blu East Midlands airport always stands out to me as a great property. Firstly the access, it’s such an easy location to reach being just off the M1 with strong links to Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. Secondly, I always find it to have much better value than Birmingham options, there rates are flexible and very competitive for such a great product!

Chloe – No Man’s Land Fort

Why have you chosen this venue?

There’s not many opportunities in life to board a Fort. But turn it into a stunningly luxurious and impressive hotel/playground then you can and I was lucky enough to go on-board! No Man’s Land Fort is 4 star venue, with 23 luxury bedroom suites, a choice of five bars, rooftop hot tubs, cabaret club, evening to toasts marshmallows around the fire pit, sunbathing and guided tours of the fort. Oh, and don’t forget a quick game of laser tag in the underground tunnels of the Fort!

No Man’s Fort is one of the UK’s most secluded and alternative venues- it is amazing. You can look up at the stars through the spectacular glass roof in the Atrium, with floor to ceiling windows for an unrivalled panoramic view of the seascape – it’s a venue that pushes the boat out.
