The King and his Crowne!
Trendy décor, fantastic meeting space, cool bar and restaurant concept and high-quality bedrooms – if you’re wondering where…it’s the Crowne Plaza London Kings Cross. A venue that has been transformed from a Holiday Inn to a brand-new Crowne Plaza, with great service, varied food and beverage offerings and a true understanding of the modern-day business traveller.
Laura, Dan, and Jas just visited this property – it’s located in the newly rejuvenated, vibrant area of Kings Cross which is only a short walk to Kings Cross mainline station with easy access to 7 tube lines!
The main meeting room – The Bloomsbury – is a great space with quirky lighting and the option to divide the space (which can do 220 theatre style) into smaller sections and its own private foyer area. We were impressed with the versatility of the venue, even down to little details like the refreshments stations converting into their tall white cabinets for evening events. They also have a range of smaller rooms which can be used for day meetings or private dining; these have white walls, funky and colourful interiors and their own wardrobe space for delegates coats and bags.
If you have time to wind down and relax, the leisure facilities and food outlets provide a great escape after a meeting. The venue has a pool, treatment rooms and sauna, with a fully-equipped fitness centre and wellness options. If its food and drink you are looking for, then you have the choice of Belgo – specialising in sustainable mussels from the Shetland Islands, alongside a range of Belgian classics – as well as 62 Belgian craft beers offered. If gin is more your scene, Bloom Kitchen and Bar provides a destination for people who enjoy good drinks and a cosy setting. A specialist gin cocktail menu has been crafted to complement the concept!
