Venues and Events Live!
Venues & Events Live at the Old Billingsgate in London is an exciting and informative exhibition which showcases lots of restaurants, bars, hotels and event suppliers, and this year Milly was the lucky one to attend!
She learnt about lots of new venues with a difference, ideal for private dining and team building events. Here are a few of her favourite finds from the day:
Located in Chigwell, Surrey and Watford, Topgolf is a fun place to go for a team-building activity followed by some food. Topgolf is what is says on the tin; it is a high-tech golfing range with an American styled restaurant on site. They can offer a range of different packages and have a variety of event and private dining spaces as well.
Asian inspired restaurants located in Soho, Covent Garden and Camden with a twist. All tables are interactive, meaning you can play games, graffiti your table or even watch the chef prepare your food. The restaurants also have unique private dining spaces that consist of interactive screens and gaming consoles. But that’s not all; they also run a sushi making and cocktail making masterclass too. These venues are perfect for groups that want to have a bit of fun whilst eating delicious Asian food.
Lucky Voice has 3 venue locations in London and one in Brighton with each venue offering a number of karaoke rooms that can accommodate different sized groups. Once again, these venues are perfect for a Christmas Party with a difference and a chance to really get to know the singers within the team.
Germany has come to London! Bierschenke has 2 Munich beer halls in Tower Hill and Liverpool Street. These authentic looking venues will transport you to Germany; with their Bavarian maple furniture and traditional food and drink. The venues are fully equipped with built-in AV for large private events or parties.
Milly also attended a couple of sessions about the hottest new venues for the year ahead. Below are a few of the big restaurant openings within London:
This restaurant is chef Anthony Demetre’s new opening and it is located within the Sofitel St James. The restaurant is open all day and it boasts an impressive European menu using French classic techniques and seasonal British produce. The restaurant also has a private dining room that can seat up to 16 people on one table.
Betterment is Jason Atherton’s brand new opening at The Biltmore Mayfair. It is a brasserie-styled restaurant with a seasonal menu created by Head Chef, Paul Walsh.
The new restaurant at the Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair. Michelin-starred Chef, Adam Byatt has created a gorgeous traditionally English styled menu for guests to enjoy. The restaurant also has a semi-private dining area for a group of up to 30 people.
